Fire Department rescue personnel searched a fourth day Friday for a 62-year-old woman who went missing while swimming Monday at Boiling Pots in the Wailuku River above Hilo.
Fire Department rescue personnel searched a fourth day Friday for a 62-year-old woman who went missing while swimming Monday at Boiling Pots in the Wailuku River above Hilo.
Battalion Chief Jerry Lum said at about 4:30 p.m. the search crew had not recovered the body of the woman, who was apparently pulled down by a strong current after heavy weekend rains. A male companion was able to make it to the river bank.
Lum said the recovery operation will go on for one more day on Saturday.
